  ☕ Scones, Stargazing, & Summer Send-Offs: The Rockingham Farm Rally! 🌟 North Essex Centre | Rockingham Farm | September 2026 If your idea of heaven is swapping the noisy hustle and bustle of everyday life for birdsong, big skies, and endless countryside views, then Rockingham Farm was absolute perfection. What a glorious way to wave goodbye to summer! 🌾 100 Acres of Pure Peace (And Pitch Space for Miles!) With just 10 units pitched on a field that could easily fit 50 , everyone had acres of room to spread out, kick back, and breathe. Bordering 100 acres of tranquil woodland and rolling fields, the soundtrack to the weekend was purely birdsong by day—and blissful silence by night. And when the sun went down? Wow. With practically zero light pollution, the night sky was pitch-black and ablaze with stars. You didn’t just need a cup of cocoa; you needed a telescope! 🔭✨

  August Bank Holiday 2026 🤠 YEE-HAW! The Great Wild West Rally & The Inflatable Cow Chase! 🐮 What a sensational weekend! An incredible team of marshals put on a non-stop, action-packed long weekend that had all 28 units laughing from start to finish. We arrived on Friday afternoon (we were unit 24 of 28) and pitched up right alongside a magnificent, sprawling tunnel of event tents. From the second we stepped out of the car, the welcome was so warm we felt right at home immediately. Upon arrival, we were handed a length of blue rope with strict instructions on how to tie a proper lasso... Little did we know how desperately we’d need those rope skills by Sunday! 🤠

  Welcome to the 2027 Rally Board! We are thrilled to present our full event programme for 2027!  Thanks to the fantastic support of our members, almost every single rally on the calendar already has a dedicated team in place—a brilliant achievement for the North Essex Centre and a testament to how active and involved our club continues to be.   🎵 Sunshine, Spritzers, & Secret Gems: The Folkards Brightlingsea Rally! 🍷 North Essex Centre | Folkards, Brightlingsea | August 2026 If you were looking for the ultimate mix of secluded countryside relaxation and vibrant local atmosphere, Folkards was absolute perfection. What a fantastic weekend! 🏕️ Pitch Perfect & Secret Hideaways We had a fantastic turnout with 19 vans on the field soaking up the atmosphere. Folkards turned out to be a total hidden gem—wonderfully secluded and quiet on site, yet just a short, easy stroll straight into the heart of Brightlingsea for the local shops, cozy pubs, and seaside charm. You really couldn't ask for a better spot to pitch up! 🗺️ The Long-Distance Award Goes To... A massive North Essex welcome to Les & Janice! They popped down all the way from Cheshire while visiting friends in the area and decided to pitch up with our crew. It was brilliant having a non-centre unit join the fold—proof that the North Essex welcome reach...

  Celebrating Mick & Marion’s Incredible Milestone We are absolutely thrilled to raise a glass (and a tea mug!) to Mick & Marion , who have reached the staggering milestone of 500 rally attendances with the North Essex Centre! To put that into perspective: that’s an average of 12.5 rallies every single year for 40 years. Through rain, shine, frozen gas mantles, and four decades of memories, they’ve proven that the rally field is truly where their hearts are. The Tea & Cake Slighting of 1986 ☕🍰 It all kicked off back in 1986 at the East Mersea AGM. The field was packed with over 200 members and 100 caravans. Naturally, the Chairman at the time, Brian R., was running around like a headless chicken. Standard protocol dictated that all new ralliers were to be welcomed with a cozy reception of tea and cake. But in the midst of the AGM chaos, Brian totally forgot! Did Mick and Marion let it slide? Not a chance. They lovingly teased and reminded Brian about his tragic hospit...
